'From Earth to Table' - Juried Art Show by Mountain Artists Guild, Prescott, AZ

From Earth to Table 
Artists are always looking for inspiration for their next piece of art; the artists at Mountain Artists Guild are no exception. Every two months, we introduce a new theme and this month it’s “From Earth to Table.”  

This theme can mean many things to different people. One might choose a traditional still-life of fruit in a basket or table-scape, or a landscape showing rolling hills of farmland, or a partially eaten apple or piece of pie, while someone else might choose to depict agricultural workers on a farm or in a grocery store. It’s easy to see how these depictions might range in message from the simple to the complicated; they might even prompt you to see racial, cultural, social, or political undertones. Your responses to these images will be as varied as the artwork: happy, sad, angry … your response is your own. 
As you walk around the gallery, enjoy seeing how each artist is unique in their quest to capture the current theme, “From Earth to Table.”
