"Apples and Lemons in Terra Cotta" is a still life of apples and lemons in terra cotta earthenware on a striped mat. This is a watercolor painting where the colors are mostly warm and earthy but are accented with cool values of a blue sky. The composition is geometric but loose where charged washes and glazing were used to create the shifts of color and depth of color.
